The updated 2022 Model Year Aprilia SR 160 range has been released in India by Piaggio India. There are three different kinds of the scooter: Standard, Race, and Carbon. Prices start at Rs. 1.17 lakh for the new SR 160 and go up to Rs.1,33,536 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru). The updated Aprilia SR 160 can be pre-ordered for a token amount of Rs. 5000 at any authorised dealership in India or on the company's official website.
The front of the 2022 Aprilia SR 160 has been changed, with a new headlamp and apron, among other things. It now has a new LED headlight instead of the old halogen one, which gives it a more expensive look. The cover for the handlebars has also been changed. It now has holes that look like air scoops. The scooter is 1985 mm long, 806 mm wide, and its wheelbase is 1365 mm long. It comes with a 6-liter gas tank and 14-inch alloy wheels.

The SR160 has new LED headlights and taillights, and its dashboard is the same as the Aprilia SXR 160's, except that the backlight is orange instead of white. The information shown is complete and includes data about the battery voltage, the average speed, and the amount of fuel used. Even though we like all of this, we would have liked to see Bluetooth connectivity as a standard. At the moment, Aprilia will charge Rs 2,500 for the Bluetooth module, which is too much given how much this scooter costs.
2022 Aprilia SR 160: areas unchanged
Aprilia has not changed anything about how the scooter works. The single-cylinder, air-cooled, 160.03cc engine puts out 10.9hp at 7,600rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm. The "SR-Race" version, like the one you see here, has a slightly different tune for its CVT transmission than the other SR 160 versions, so that it can perform better at the bottom end.

Kymco unveils Aprilia SR160 rival in Japan
The Racing S150 scooter was made by the Taiwanese company Kymco and showed off in Japan. With its 149cc single-cylinder engine, the scooter could compete well with the Aprilia SR160, which is sold in India. The engine has a four-valve head and an electronic fuel injection system. At 7500rpm, the engine can make 13bhp. The Aprilia, on the other hand, has a 160cc engine that makes 10.84bhp and 11.6Nm. Now, the Kymco Racing S150 has a tough look that, at first glance, looks a lot like the Yamaha Ray ZR. It has split headlights, and the turn signals are built into the apron of the handlebars. The Racing S150 has 12-inch wheels on both ends and 110/70 front and 12/70 rear tyres. The brakes are disc brakes that are 240mm in front and 200mm in the back. Standard suspension parts include telescopic forks in the front and two springs in the back. The scooter has a Bluetooth-enabled display that shows incoming calls and text messages. It can also connect to a smartphone to show ride information. There are compartments in the front bumper, a large storage space under the seat, and a 5.7-liter fuel tank for convenience.

Updated versions of the Aprilia SR 160 have been seen with a new look and an LED headlight. It is expected to come out in the next few days at a slightly higher price than the current scooter, which costs Rs 1.08 lakh.

The way the tyre grips the road is amazing.Very good performance, and a fun ride. I'm happy to own the SR160. We can say that the bike looks great and has no gears. The alloy wheels look strong, and the front LED lights look stylish and powerful.
