Between the Pleasure and the Maestro Edge comes a 110cc unisex scooter called the Hero Duet. One of Hero MotoCorp's first new products to be independently created since the company's breakup with longtime joint venture partner Honda.
The Duet is positioned as a family scooter in advertising. One of the most attractive scooters in the market, the metal body is expertly moulded into a very modern and dynamic shape. The V-shaped chrome strip on the front apron offers a subtle touch of glitter, while up front, the headlamp and turn signals have been combined into a single unit on the handlebar. The contrast between the quirky paint colours and the black floorboard, seat, and grab rail is stunning.
A new 111cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine powers the Hero Duet, which is built on a new basis. This engine utilises a CVT transmission to produce 8bhp and 8Nm of torque. It has hydraulic spring-loaded dampers in the back and telescopic suspension up front. The Duet has 10-inch metal wheels with tubeless tyres that have a 90/100 profile. It includes the cutting-edge combi brakes, which have drum brakes on both ends.

Performance
The Duet has a new 110cc engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that Hero made at their plant in India. The same engine they first put in the Maestro Edge. The mill is strong, and the torque is spread out evenly at all speeds. The new engine's smoothness and refinement remind me of Honda's strength, which Hero seems to have taken and used well. When we reviewed the Hero Maestro Edge, the engine made a whistling sound like a turbine. This sound is gone from the Duet's engine. Duet has good acceleration, and the weight of the scooter doesn't get in the way of its performance or fuel efficiency.

The Hero Duet is a unisex scooter with a metal body that is made for people who want a more masculine option than the Hero Pleasure. The car company paid attention to every detail of the scooter's design and gave it a sleek, sophisticated look that sets it apart from the bulky Hero Maestro Edge. Hero Duet is powered by a 110.9cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that can produce up to 8bhp at 7500 rpm and 8.7Nm of torque at 5750 rpm. The engine is tuned to get a claimed mileage of 63kmpl and a top speed of 85kmph, which are both good numbers for real-world use. There are two kinds of scooters, the Duet LX and the Duet VX, and five colours to choose from. Hero Integrated Braking System is built into the scooter. When the rear brake lever is pulled, both the rear and front drum brakes are activated at the same time. The front telescopic fork suspension and the rear hydraulic shock absorbers also help make the ride more comfortable. The price of the scooter starts at Rs 47,945 (Ex showroom, Delhi) and goes up from there. It is a cheaper option than the Honda Activa 4G, Yamaha Alpha, TVS Jupiter, and Hero Maestro Edge, which are some of its competitors.
